I’m getting to where there isn’t much I enjoy and it’s really hard to exercise and stay awake and do things. I feel like I’m a downer.
Have you had a change in your medication
It was recently lowered because I couldn’t function on the higher dose. I was on 15 mg of Haldol now I’m on 10 mg
The meds help the negatives then?
Sorry to hear that. I find it hard to exercise even on 2.5 mg ability. Do you still enjoy anything at all?
I’m just asking her cos an increase or addition of a, med may make negatives worse.
Negative symptoms don’t always follow a predictable pattern. They can wane and wax or even disappear completely only to be back in full force years later. I got rid of my negatives but I find that my interest in life has dwindled. I have little interest in doing things but at the same time I feel shockingly at peace with the situation.
Just tv now is all I really enjoy, and even that is hard to focus on
Ah ok, i see. so the meds worsen the negatives? Gosh…
They can do, not always.
That’s interesting @Andrey
Many users here keep saying ability lol I think they mean Abilify?
Woops that was an honest mistake…
Its fine, you’re not the only one who wrote ability, many other users from what I read lol
I can’t function on any Haldol at all. I have no first hand experience, but my instincts tell me that it is possible to develop negative symptoms in the progression of the disease.
Maybe you need more time to adjust to the lower dose?
I didn’t have negative symptoms till after I left the hospital. Before that, I thought my energy was fine and I didn’t think there was really any issues with me. I thought I’d bounce back quickly , but then a month or two afterwards started the fatigue and lack of motivation
@Aziz , it’s because of autocorrect. Autocorrect often changed Abilify to ability
That’s interesting @KushiDays. So yours developed later too.
Yeah. I found it improved once I started walking more though, but it took months and months for improved stamina.
Hopefully you are better
