So since 3 weeks ago I have been going out of bed and playing video games on my PC for 2-3hrs daily. I have also been watching Youtube travel videos everyday and sometimes with my father. As a result I am vaping and eating less. But I want more. On Abilify everything was much easier, going to the gym daily for 1-2hrs, hanging out with friends daily, partying, even had some full time jobs, etc
Point is that meds have a much bigger effect than forcing myself.
Yes, they can improve on their own, it happened to others on the forum too. My negative symptoms were worse when they started a year ago. Its a slow improvement but still an improvement.
I used to sleep 24/7 all day when my negative symptoms started. But meds are still a lot better for negative symptoms like Abilify for me. On Abilify I was going to the gym and hanging out with friends daily. Even had some full time jobs.
In my case its a slow progressing disease, still now worsening. I not get mood for any. This is the case then I came to the realization that mood never come and I need to force myself to do anything even eating food, drinking water. Even to sleep at night.
Did you get mood if you force to do some activity like for example you have no mood now to play games. Now if you force yourself to play some game then after few minutes you find yourself hard to stop playing? Any experience like that? For me its like this.
Maybe. I still had some negative and cognitive symptoms when I was off meds. These started a few years before my psychosis diagnosis. Meds made my negative symptoms even worse.
Hey, that’s great progress! Don’t beat yourself upvthat it’s not happening as fast as you’d like. Little progress is still a step in the right direction.
Hey, after testing with Mucuna/L-Dopamine by stopping and retaking it, I found out that it improved my negative symptoms a bit at the recommended 2x 120mg L-Dopamine pills dose. Of course I wanted more so I increased to 5x 120mg L-Dopamine negatives are even better (waking up much earlier with more energy) but I am getting very early signs of psychosis which is freezing/catatonia. Usually for me after that phase I start getting hallucinations and then delusions. I am trying to find the perfect dose to reduce negative symptoms without making positive symptoms worse.
I read that some Parkinson patients are given L-Dopa alone without Carbidopa and it still works but it just needs a higher dose vs L-Dopa+Carbidopa combination.
You can try it but just be cautious that too much can cause psychosis or can worsen positive symptoms.
