You have the symptoms of sz. You don’t say how long this has been going on with you. If it persists over time I would say go see a mental health professional.

Hi, and welcome to the forums. We can’t diagnose you here, but it does sound like you are going through something we can relate to. You should go to your doctor and report all your symptoms. You can even print out this post and read it to them if that’s easier.

First, your doctor will probably want to run a test to rule out any physical causes. Some physical diseases can mimic schizophrenia. If all those tests come back clear, it could indicate that you have a psychiatric disorder. There are many disorders on the psychotic spectrum. Schizophrenia is only one possible answer, and you won’t be diagnosed with it right away. It takes at least six months to receive that diagnosis. But you will be able to start trying medicines to see which one helps you.

Call a doctor as soon as you can, and start getting treated. If you do have a psychotic disorder, early treatment can make the difference between living a happy, productive life and being tortured by your mind endlessly.

bing you must be so frightened. Take a some deep breathes and call your doctors office when they open. And talk on here as much as you need to.

Delusion only is not enough to be sz, but you have mental illness probably.

Don’t worry about it bing everything will be ok

like someone said before we can’t diagnose you. but it is best if you go to a doctor and get help. my first doctor in the hospital ran all kinds of tests on me and finally labeled me schizophrenia. don’t get hung up if you get diagnosed or not diagnoses change

Judging from the way you’re writing as well as your fears I’d say it’s a possibility, but you won’t know for sure until you seek professional help so please do so.

I recommend you go to an early psychosis evaluation and treatment center (there are many in the world) and talk to them about what you’ve shared with us:

It takes 6 months?
My doctor diagnosed me with border line schizophrenia rather quickly
He said he wasn’t comfortable giving me a full diagnosis
He also diagnosed me with D.I.D
A year later I was in the hospital for schizophrenic episodes

Granted, I was in and out of therapy and off and on meds for 9 years before I was officially diagnosed

I never told my docs about the voices or the visuals as a child

You have to have presented symptoms for at least six months. If you’ve been having symptoms since childhood, that’s probably why you were diagnosed so quickly.

When i ended up in psych ward my doc diagnosed me in 2 weeks?? Altho everybody i know says im not sza

@Bingli1 Bing, I had those symptoms about 2 years before I became a full blown case. If you start hearing voices then you can check another box off the list

Yeah, please seek a psychiatrist, it sounds like you’re in the prodromal SZ phase. Good that you have insight, otherwise you’ll end up in a hospital involuntarily.

When you’re given drugs keep taking them, even when you feel like you’re better. You’re likely dependent on them for life now.

Just want to add that you don’t have to wait 6 months to get help. Even if you have only been having symptoms a short time, you should get help as soon as possible, the prognosis is better with prompt help.
