Does having two psychotic episode mean I definitely have schizophrenia?
Nope it doesnt mean that necessarily
To or two?
Please explain
Two… typo 1515151515
Are you diagnosed as schizophrenic?
No still non organic psychosis
I had that too in the beginning.
How many episodes have you had?
It doesn’t necessarily mean that you have schizophrenia but multiple psychosis is one of the criteria for schizophrenia.
One continuous with many peaks.
Or many micro episodes.
Relapsed exactly one year on from my first episode after being off of aps for five months.
Now on 10mg Olanzapine for the past three months.
Hoping to get off of medication in the future
Two large separate episodes
I’d say that that is not a good sign, if you want to get off meds
.
Most likely not. I kind of know I do but just can’t believe it’s happened to me.
Schizophrenia is an old term. Some drs are pushing for psychosis spectrum disorder because there are varying degrees you can have sz. But i would probably say in my own personal opinion if you have had two pysychotic episodes and not under influence of drugs or alcohol you are probably sick enough to be considered schizophrenic.
If it lasts more than 6 months,
it’s schizophrenia
The first episode was triggered by drugs but the second episode I had been clean for over a year.
Then it’s drug induced
To be honest i dont know if you have sz or not. But if you are having episodes without drug use you sould probably take antipsychotic meds.
Only lasted 6 weeks the last time, with sever delusions and maybe some hallucinations, but no voices.
First time was the same, but only a few weeks.
Both times on Olanzapine from the beginning
