I have my hearing on Tuesday. What can I expect and what should I be prepared for?

I never had a hearing. Just wanna say best of luck to you and hope you get it. Maybe someone else who had a hearing will give you advice.

They will swear you in and then the judge will ask a lot of questions. A job expert may be there to name and describe jobs you could possibly do.

They may ask you what your functional limitations are that makes Sz stop you from working. So like if you get tired easy etc. Maybe someone could help you think of what they are that interferes with daily living. I have a lot but I don’t have Sz.

I didn’t have a hearing either but I was honest on the form I filled out. I went through 7 jobs in about 6 years. Couldn’t keep one longer than 9 months so I wrote all my different jobs down in a list. Do you have failed work attempts? I would mention that.

And where it said how does your disability affect you I said delusions distort my perception of reality and impair my judgement and decision making skills. If it suits you use it. It worked for me.

My medical records read really bad. I didn’t even get scheduled for an exam I just got approved but they didn’t back date it to my disability date they made my disability date the last day I worked so I didn’t get any back pay.
