Difficult puzzle (TW)

When you switch off the light, where does the light go ?

It’s a beam of photons so the energy stops it stops.

You mean when you switch off the source of the light, the light extinguish ?
That is a great explanation.

It goes into the dark.

It’s all about energy. Light is dual natured if I remember my physics. It has particle and wave qualities. I’m not sure of the modern explanation as it’s 30 years plus since I’ve done physics.

The darkness of the whole universe cannot extinguish the light of one candle, but eventually the light becomes darkness.

Yeah maybe but a black hole will suck in the whole universe…eventually. Can’t win either way. I guess darkness wins in the end.

But when the light becomes darkness, where does the light comes from ? I believe the light feed on darkness to stay alive.

Even space and emptiness has atoms. It’s the inner layers of atoms that get excited and produce light. It’s about energy. Simply put. You need something to create the energy to produce light.

In a lightbulb it has to do with electrons moving from on atom to the next, I believe. Electrons are knocked out of atoms to create the flow of electricity. I am a bit rusty but I believe that’s pretty much it. The flow then heats up the filament to create photons. So once the flow is stopped the filament no longer heats up.

Don’t know, how we know darkness without seeing the light ?

*hums hello darkness my old friend.

But anyway speaking of atoms…it’s impossible to create or destroy an atom (hmm nuclear fission maybe)

So when we die our atoms just pass onto the broader environment. They are recycled. I like this alot.
