Dietary electrolytes are related to mood

Low-sodium, high-potassium diet had positive effect on overall mood. I think an avocado has 1 gram of potassium. Bananas have 200-300 mg of potassium. The daily intake of potassium is really absurd though which is absurd because it’s around 3 grams. I eat a good amount of electrolytes daily and I have a pretty good mood.

I supplement Potassium Citrate, 1 teaspoon a day. Most people are deficient in Potassium; you need about 4.7 grams a day to hit the RDA, which is the equivalent of 11 bananas. No one eats that much!

It helps me with my eye twitches, since twitching is usually caused by an electrolyte deficiency. Also helps some with my arthritis, since it replenishes my alkaline buffer, so the body can better flush out the uric and oxalic acids in my joints that cause the pain and stiffness.

Also, about the high Calcium diet, too much Calcium causes depression and increased risk of heart attack (Calcium plaques are the main cause of that), and is something that should be generally avoided in excess.

Sufficient potassium also apparently helps to keep blood pressure in check

When I was more dehydrated the demons used to come for me or I was having night terrors
I found taking hydrolyte water soluble drinks really helped keep them away. #unusual
