I’m eating an anti inflammatory diet. I’m also cutting down on calories.

Nice! What does this diet do for you? Does it work on your sz issues?

The reason I’m on an anti inflammatory diet is because I have autoimmune disease that’s causing severe systemic inflammation. It’s supposed to calm that down and help my joints feel better

Sorry to hear that…does it work?

I’m only eating so well because Ozempic is in world-wide shortage. I’m getting results (I lost weight and my blood sugar is getting lower, which is good), but I hate not being able to eat what I want. I want all the chocolate cake and kettle chips and then more of them!

Not yet but I’m going to keep doing it for a few months before I decide

I didn’t vote because I’m not on a diet. :dog::dog::dog:

@anon70814080, what is Ozempic? Nice it works…

@LilyoftheValley, wishing you luck with that…hope it will work out well…

@graybear, do you eat a standard western diet then?

I don’t know what that is. :ant::ant::ant:

I do not know how to call it…but I was thinking of just the regular diet we eat in the USA or Europe (which does vary between the two…but just what we consider normal in western countries).

For us here (netherlands) that would be a simple breakfast & lunch, like sandwiches with cheese or nutella. And an evening meal like f.e. pasta bolognese or meat, veggies and rice/potatoes. Some snacks inbetween.

Ozempic is a weekly injectable drug that lowers blood sugar, and has the side effect of making people feel full, so they don’t stuff themselves.

Many countries have allowed people to use Ozempic cosmetically, so now people with diabetes type 2 are NOT able to get it. There’s a shortage. I signed a petition to get Canada to regulate it for use only for really good medical reasons.

So I have to be super strict and careful now, so my blood sugar doesn’t go through the roof. I hate health food. I’m miserable. Bad timing because it’s almost Christmas and no Ozempic anywhere.

That is sad. I’m sorry. Hope they change things…
