lol. Love it Jimbob. Oldie but a goodie…I’m pissed that I got religious education in high school and nothing about mental health. It bothers me today that it could have saved me some time but that is life…
Meanwhile I’ll leave it to the Dino De laurentis version … fun movie and think it’s the same part of it.
I do too big guy! I really miss the sense of community they brought to the world of cinema. Just being around other people, the Ma and Pa stores handing out balloons and popcorn, the employees giving you their snotty opinions and recommendations.
It’s like I know change is inevitable, but it’s hard not to feel nostalgic.
Like walking around and reading the reviews and outlines on the back of video cases. So much interesting experiences made and you had to go out of your house and interact with people. Yes.! Listen to the kids on the counter who watched movies all day and gave you recommendations because you hired certain movies…
So many good things found in video stores back in the day for me. Really was a different thing.
So true Rogue! It was a magical time really before the internet came along and somewhat spoiled everything.
I miss picking up the little boxes and looking at the artwork. And you knew you were getting a stinker if the movie box didn’t have a picture on the back.
Haha…let alone they sold popcorn and drinks and lollies and stuff. Coming from a big catholic family video nights were so special…I even rented a player because we were poor and I was working and it was so good. My little brothers grew up watching movies and that was so cool for them in their artistic lives moving onto bands and life.
I miss the whole video store vibe…it was like so cool!
