I only seem to get derealization when I travel in darkness. I knew I was gonna have it before it even happened. I hate my life…
When you say travel, do you mean drive outside? Or just walking around the house?
Walking outside and getting public transport such as buses (mainly) and trains.
I always hear more voices at night than during the day. And sometimes with delusions. When I wake up the next day I am usually ok again.
If you take your meds in the morning they are probably wearing off.
I take APs twice a day and nights are still harder than mornings.
I’m on a depot injection. I think the derealization is also independent of the schizophrenia.
I used to have anxiety at night, in rain, while driving, and especially on highways. Those were my worst triggers for my anxiety.
