I would make an appointment with a dentist to have them look at your gums @anon83704208. I hope they’re better soon.

I was a week ago,with ortopan (tooth scan),she said it’s not tooth.
Yesterday I called and she looked again, said it’s not tooth.

She advised me to use curaprox interdental brush…

I’ve had a sensitive tooth since i was in the hospital a month ago (i was grinding my teeth a lot while there). I saw a dentist 2 weeks ago but he couldn’t find an obvious problen so he told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste and wait 2 weeks to see if it improved. It hasn’t. So now i need to schedule another appointment and get it figured out. I hope i don’t need a root canal…

I don’t like sensodyne toothpaste i used it a few times and it made my gums sore

Yeah, they’re almost painless nowadays but they are expensive. Back as recently as 1990 it was an ordeal to get one but the last few I got didn’t hurt much, though I always wonder if the dentist is going to slip and make a mistake and hurt me. It’s almost never happened. I think Medicaid will cover the costs of a couple of root canals.

Yeah, I’ve never had a root canal, which is why I’m scared of it. I also don’t know if Alaska Medicaid covers them. But this tooth sensitivity is crazy, i can’t even rinse my mouth out with cold water, i have to use warm water or else it’s a stabbing pain.

I can understand being nervous but the dentist knows what he’s doing. They numb you up and do their work, it can take as little as 30 minutes. I’ve had about 6 or 7 done in my lifetime and survived.

try colgate sensitive toothpaste. i have so many fillings and a crown and my teeth are very sensitive. sensodine doesnt help but colgate sensitive works great. i recently bought some sensodine again and within a week my teeth hurt even when drinking. i went back to colgate and they dont hurt anymore. they use different ingredients.

That’s so weird, I’ve just got a sore gum this week and I went to the pharmacy and they recommended Chlorhexidine mouthwash. I’ve used it for 2 days now and my gum is way less sensitive.

It’s called Savacol in Australia. I got alcohol free. Maybe it’s also available where you are.

Hope it helps!!

Don’t use it after coffee or tea as it might stain your teeth.

I have been using baking soda and dental floss for over 10 years now. It is cheap and I have no tooth or gum problems.

My gums are receding from smoking that’s what causes the sensitivity.
