Deficit schizophrenics are physically different from other people

Interesting, I heard of peoples with schizophrenia usually have a different brain structure and how chemicals in the brain effect different parts causing hallucinations. I do agree with deficit schizophrenia might be a different disease all together with some common symptoms.

What is deficit schizophrenia? And how are the symptoms compared to the other schizophrenias?

I have had rounded shoulders and I slouch a lot. I’ve always stuck out like a sore thumb. When I’m in good physical condition, I don’t look too bad, I’d get more positive attention. Now that I’ve had the diagnosis for a few years I realize that with my weight I definitely do stick out like a sore thumb. Sometimes people assume I’m a little slow. I don’t get more negative attention. People laugh at me and stuff. It’s usually younger folks. Older people tend to be more kind to me around here at least.

I don’t know what deficit schizophrenia is and I don’t know for sure that there is a “schizophrenic” look. It would not surprise me.

My question to other posters (with the topic in mind), do you ever feel like you stand out whether negatively or positively in crowds? I’m aware it could be part of paranoia.
