There’s lots of things AI can do better than people, but not that. Not yet. I can’t rule it out, but that’s not the same as playing chess or Go or planning delivery routes. Show me the AI poem that is better than Robert Frost’s or the AI composed story that I’ll remember for 20 years like For Whom The Bell Tolls and I’ll change my mind.
@twinklestars maybe not yet but in the near future.
When and if that occurs, I’ll change my mind. But it would require much more than just processing power.
It requires a thing called artificial intelligence.
Agreed. The transition will be ugly.
From Star Trek - First Contact:
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: The economics of the future are somewhat different. You see, money doesn’t exist in the 24th century.
Lily Sloane: No money? You mean, you don’t get paid?
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force of our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity. Actually, we’re all like yourself and Dr. Cochrane.
Except…
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS.
Deep learning:
Deep underwater!
I think I will hold off on using a self-driving car anytime soon. The tech seems … suspect.
It was texting while walking.
I trust tech and love tech, tech is the future.
