Our state has a bill in the house to end DST.

Nice, just read the article. Very informative. Thanks for sharing

Is the bill from the government? Can you explain it to me I’m not really educated when it comes to passing bills and stuff. I always felt like I couldn’t ask these questions about politics because it’s a common thing people know, and I felt embarrassed.

So, there’s a house in the state and there’s also a house in the federal government. The bill is in the state house. It will only affect the state of Oregon. I’m honestly not sure about state level politics, but I think there’s also a state level Senate. So the bill, if passed by the house, will go to the Senate and they can make changes or pass it or reject it or whatever. If it passes both the house and the Senate it will go to the governor for final approval or denial.

I think. I was never very good at politics. Especially at the state level.

I think it is something to do with saving energy. Some time ago when lighting and such was expensive they decided to change the clocks so we get more sunlight, so we don’t have to use energy. But now that energy is cheap a lot of countries are doing out with it.

USA will probably be the last country to do away with it, we get stuck on old things, and don’t like to advance. (Not putting down my country or anything haha)

In Canada not all provinces have daylight savings time. I’m in Manitoba and its being debated that we stop.

We have it in Australia except for our state Queensland. We’ve had a referendum on it but it didn’t pass the vote. Very silly and it would be nice to have it.

I remember when I lived in az. They didnt participate in daylight savings time
Part of the year they were on Pacific time and the other part mountain time. But I’m back in Ohio now and it’s already six pm.
