Day off or weekend off

I think we all need a “weekend off” from thinking about our illness. Forget nagging friends, forget finances, forget our insecurities. I am able to “calm down” my mood swings by taking a scenic bus ride to the city and buy a coffee or small lunch and sit at the beach or something. Any pain I feel feels smaller and in the moment I forget about my problems and just enjoy the day. Just " have a good weekend" and get back running in 2018! Trying to stay positive takes constant work. In fact, if I sit still and let myself get bored, the negative thoughts come running back.

I can’t forget about it because it’s all so real to me, but I like your attitude!
