I don’t know if there any good dating sites left. They all seem to be app based these days. I looked at a few out of curiosity and they are designed to: a) get you to spend money for more features (especially if you are male) and b) to keep you addicted to and using the app. I volunteer at casinos for fundraising and have noticed that the apps are designed to keep one engaged in the same manner that slot machines are designed. I suspect they would lose a paying customer if they actually hooked you up and that is why their success rate is so low.
Suggest volunteering or joining a community group. Meet someone real in a real place and have a real conversation with them.

They’ve kind of “gamified” lots of these apps, basically monetized them like they were mobile games. It’s weird and it seems to pit everyones’ wallets against each other to get an edge at getting noticed.

i fell for the sites, i paid and got nowhere, i was stupid.
Right now i joined a good facebook dating group who matched me up for free, i had more luck with this than i ever did with the paid rubbish.
