Dating sites are the worst

Especially if you are a guy. It’s extremely hard to start any communication when you are looking for a more serious relationship, and you will get ignored 99.9% of the time. I had a good profile, I’m fairly decent looking, decent pics, well thought out responses, but literally nothing. Not to mention it made my symptoms worse obsessing over each “visit” or “like.” Deleted for good, never again. I feel better now.

There’s barely any girls on those sites. That’s the problem.

It worked for me. Just takes a while lol

I had the same experience and had to delete the account. I figure if I ever get to the state where I just have money to waste I can give it another shot. I wonder applying for jobs or dates which one is harder. I gotten jobs before why not dates. But I stress I will only do this when I have money to throw away and have nothing better to do with my time.

I tried them in the past but with no real luck, a couple contacted me. one we did not share the same life stye so never met her, no sense dating someone that won’t like you anyway, another was talking about all the problems we were going to have and told me not to worry though, we would get through it, I was like what the ??? we have never met, then one night I was sleeping and she called like 20 times so I put a end to that.

Gave up on the sites

Bumble actually caught my attention. I’ve never been on a dating app/site though.

Ok Cupid worked for me. I got married a few months ago. I hated all the other ones, though. I’ve never tried Bumble, but several of my female friends like it because there are less unwanted dick pics.

i like tinder. It worked for me even though press blame it for many social issues but for me, it’s a life-saver actually. When i got bored, i met and make friend with my ex, and now my recent bf and i met each other via this app. The only thing i hate abt this app is that i can’t find it official website or any related forums - a place to share, you know, i cant always sticks to my smartphone all day long.

LOL! Sounds like you dodged a bullet there!

sort of the same here. so I stopped using the website for dating. now I just turn visitor mode off and look at photos. if you leave visitor mode on, you’re going to feel nervous knowing that nobody has visited you.

I met my new boyfriend on Oasis Active.

I had bad experience with match.com strangely enough.
Months and nothing.
No one hardly wrote to me despite me being a paying member, having photoes up etc.

On Oasis active heaps (in my opinion) were interested in me and i was not a paying member but met my boyfriend through this site.

Also was on a few other sites.

I deleted my profiles now because im nolonger single as i see it but it seems i may not of succeeded in deleting the account despite going through procedure and pressing delete button.

Maybe you should try another site for you.

I think some sites might work better for some people…

Wishing you well on/with your dating .

Yeah online dating is pretty terrible. My experience with it as a woman was that my inbox was constantly flooded with messages, many of which were pretty wtf. I’d respond to like 5 of them, out of hundreds (and I’m not even good looking, attractive women probably were getting thousands per week), and the conversations would either die or get really wtf within a few exchanges. The best I got out of it was actually a guy who messaged me just to debate with me about politics, and we had some pretty good debates, like he seemed angry and disagreed with me about everything, but his arguments were still interesting, so there was that.

I misread having photoes up for 'having potatoes up :yum: or photoes as four toes :joy:
