Dono how long it’s gonna take to cure sz. But CRISPR will very soon be used as a treatment for a variety of genetic diseases.

We need it…
Because we don’t know the cause of sz and we don’t know the genes involved in the disease either. Plus if it’s a problem of pruning what we need is stem cells to rebuild the brain.

Stem cell has some ethical issues …like they change our dna means our character is also changed…our personality changes too. So it is not so trusty…u can forget about stem cell…
In that regard CRISPR raises more ethical issues than stem cells does. Because CRISPR alteres one’s DNA. Whereas Stem cells doesn’t.
What we need is to identify the cause of sz. There is no way around it. As soon as we have an idea as to what causes all the symptoms we won’t be too far from a cure.
I am intrested in finding out the cause of sz…then there will be effective medication…i hope scientist should hurry in finding causes of sz …and main problem is they lack funding and money…i think this wont be possible in our lifetime…what do u think @GentleSoul …will it be possible in our life time.??
