I’ve had schizophrenia for the last 8 years. Well that and many other diagnosis.
I stupidly started taking a drug called GBL to help with my anxiety and it also gave me " the old me" back for a while. I could socialise better and function more.
The problem is that the withdrawals are awful and kicking in. I’ve suffered with hell like hallucinations and sensations and done some very scary awful things to myself in the past and am panicking now. I also haven’t been able to sleep for a long period
I took a Xanax but I still feel like a panic attack is coming on and I’m scared.
How does the crisis team work in the U.K.
If you don’t feel safe, definitely call.
Brace yourself. Ask for help. Family or friends? Maybe call crisis team.
Don’t rush. Take it easy. Withdrawals can mimic illness symptoms.
Take small steps. Take care of your basic needs. Eat well. Bath. Brush your teeth. Take care of your room and home.
You don’t have to conquer the world. At least not in an instant.
The crisis team is for people who are in crisis with their mental health and need extra care, they may even help out-with normal working hours,
But its just the weather today is a bit crazy just now and idk if they can get out everywhere, i think you should try and stick it out for a while at least until the snow goes away,
You can still phone though if you have the number, there should be someone on the phone that could help, calm you down, talking really helps me.
We are on a red weather alert here now
please don’t try to do it on your own, i have tried and was hospitalized i don’t think you want that.
You sound like you’re in crisis. The crisis team would be a good idea. This is why they exist
Feel better!
I agree, call the crisis hotline in your area.
I made the mistake of sticking it out once. I only got increasingly worst over the following weeks. I would agree with contacting the crisis team.
