Covid vaccine

I’m scheduled to get my first Covid vaccination shot on 14 January. I get a second Covid vaccine early February. To be honest, I’m not looking forward but I will go through with it.

Yes good for you @SkinnyMe
I was just placed on a list to get a Covid vaccination at my doctors office.
I am a bit apprehensive but I’ll go through with it.

How the heck did you get signed up for it?

I want one so bad, I’d pay a couple hundred for it if I could get it tomorrow.

We aren’t really getting any till mid Feb from what I’ve seen but that isn’t a bad thing. We get to see how it goes in other countries. I don’t mind waiting a bit.

Prolly nothing until September 2021 for me. Our PM badly borked procurement.

They are way behind in vaccinating here in California. My mom is quite elderly and her insurance has no idea when she might be vaccinated. It’s absurd and frankly scary since she is in a high risk group due to age.

The local Bay Area news said CVS would have them for the general public here some time in March most likely.

I want one badly.

My grandparents in VA are also a concern, they said they fit in the 75+ bracket so they expect it soon. I’ll ask them next time I call. I like to check up on them and chat politics.

Both my mom and I have Kaiser Permanente as our medical insurance. They are one of the largest medical insurance groups in the country and they haven’t even started giving vaccinations yet, except to their own medical staff. My doctor only got vaccinated herself last week and she said she has no idea when Kaiser will start vaccinating the rest of us. :unamused:

I rarely go to the doctor, could I go to a General Practitioner to get on a list or something?

I’m on Medicare.

Currently there are no vaccines available at my doctors office.
They don’t know when they will arrive.

I have no idea. I guess you could call a GP and ask. Or maybe call your local CVS pharmacy.

65 and older right now where I’m at…I’m 58.

i think it’s gonna be quite a while till vaccines come free for the younger people but i’m not really waiting for one so i’ll see how it goes. If my gp doc can eventually give me one i’ll get it but if i have to leave the house to go get it then i won’t go through with it.
