I used to dip. I used Cope for like 4 years and now my teeth are ruined, gums eroded… Don’t do it. Smoke instead,

I have one can I’m gonna finish it then get nicotine gum. SMoked since 2001, my lungs are ruined and I may get COPD. I’m just going to try to get off nicotine but it’s hard to, I’m really addicted to it.

I understand completely. I’m in the same situation.

I’m a nicotine addict, but I’m free of nicotine for greater than two years.

I’ve tried quitting but the morning of sobriety I’m practically shutting down digestively and get constipated and feel like I need it for my body to function. I really just have made a beast out of some of these habits, I’m trying but it seems very impossible. Sometimes I wonder if I deserve to get better, that’s what the voices say-that I don’t deserve anything I have. They’re pure haters so much bad stuff.

You deserve to get better, but good and bad people everywhere deserve things they are not getting.

Myself I am actually afraid of giving up smoking. Usually I only hear of opiate addicts being scared like this. Maybe you can tell me if it is different or the same?

Some people say nicotine is more addictive than heroin, but I don’t know if that’s true because I’m not about to do heroin. But I went to a military aa group and that’s what the leader said. Who knows, but all I know is I’m having a hard time with the cigarettes so how in the hell can I survive without the cigarettes and dip you know?

That and coffee, I have a tall boy of coffee every day. I don’t know how to handle things with these things that I need ( i feel ), I just can’t imagine going without them.

I like skoal straight myself. Quit smoking back in 2010 and dipped ever since. It wasn’t until about two years ago that I went to the dentist and they looked in my mouth and told me, you need to stop dipping.
They sent me to an oral surgeon who did a biopsy on the tissue in my cheek. The guy looked at me and said that there’s no known link between dipping and mouth cancer, but I started to see my mouth deteriorate my teeth were yellow, I knew it was time to stop. I ended up quitting with help from the nicotine gum which I still chew to this day. I’m glad I was able to kick the skoal. That stuff was harder to quit then smokes

I started dipping in North Carolina when I was training in 155mm mortar systems. I was in bravo battery and that’s what they were going as instead of 105mm howitzers. But a ATV flipped over and landed on my ankle and took me out of the mortar training so I couldn’t go. Anyhow that’s when I started dipping and the first time I had a hella buzz.
