I use patches from time to time, I think it’s a bad habit.

yeah nicotine is very addictive.

Well sunday is my quit day i watched a documentary on steve Mac QUeen REBEL james dean type he smoked heavily didn’t quit got lung cancer so that brought home to me what it can do. I want to say that if you live in the UK you can get free patches and chewing gum from your GP they offer a stop smoking service.

I don’t smoke or anything cause of my asthma. Also my grandfather died of lung cancer so I don’t want to risk anything.

Wish I’d never started my psyciatrist said it is THE HARDEST one to quit.

It took me 3 years to quit smoking. I was constantly going back and forth from the nicotine lozenges to buying cigarettes. Then I joined a gym and that did wonders for my anxiety and I haven’t had any nicotine in about 2 years. I’m sza

I smoke a ton of cig’s and need help quitting. I am also using gums but they just make me smoke more…

I have fallen down more times than I can remember…currently I’m working on a month of being stopped from smoking. I am using nicotine gum.

i nearly love it.

i live alone,
it’s nearly like a friend.

i’ve seriously wondered if some chose for their next life to be cigarettes,

giving the human race a chance to relax.

i don’t know how a material thing could be so good!

Smoked from 14 till 39 a pack a day. Tried everything to give up and finally got some champix from my psydoc. Haven’t had a smoke since 2009. It was that easy.

Nicotine does seem to help stimulate the frontal cortex which is usually affected by schizophrenia. It’s also all about nicotine receptors in your brain…it’s a very persuasive drug and highly addictive.

Best thing I ever did for my health was give up!

I wanna quit, but not for health reasons. Withdrawal is very unpleasant. Real world doesnt let u smoke when u feel like it, constant cycle of normal to withdrawal. Hard to cope, dont wanna do that. At some point u stop enjoying them anyways, u just go from baseline to withdrawal back to baseline when u smoke.

Prolly non-smokers feel the way a smoker feels when he’s smoking, just an illusion that we enjoy them cuz in reality all they do is relieve withdrawal not get us high anymore— would u agree with that statement, @rogueone? Since u quit

I vape and it’s good I think in terms of harm minimization

I vape the mr salt e 45mg nicotine from an icare. I wouldnt last a day without it

I loved nicotine don’t get me wrong. Does strange things to your mind and soothes that anxiety but withdrawal is a bitch. I wouldn’t say it’s a high when your smoking though. I was just maintaining except for that first one every morning! That was a good one.

Giving up is freedom. Your no longer a slave and you have options for your health. That is a revelation.

I smoked for 32 years.Hated being addicted. It featured heavily in my psychosis when I was ill. Finally did it by taking loads of nicotine replacements together, gum patches etc. Stayed on the gum for 6 years and gave them up 3 years ago.

I get caffeine from coffee. Much cheaper than buying tobacco and being a nicotine addict.

I quit smoking today I DID IT ima bit teasy tho LOL
