I am posting a photo of the recipe this time. If you cannot read it, let me know and I will type it out when i get home from work, after dinner sometime.

If you click on the photo you should be able to download or screen shot it and then print.

Bump for the evening crew

I’ve always toyed with the idea of somehow making ramen less plain. Might try it out.

i cant cook, never any good at thta

Thats why I am posting classes. You can search “cooking class” in the search bar and the posts will show up. They include tools and shopping lists for each recipe.

Each post per recipe is for discussing cooking of that recipe and questions on what to do, etc.

Oh! I forgot to tell you guys, these recipes are all tweaked or developed by my boss who has a degree in culinary arts. So they’re designed for classes.

I help in the kitchen at the cafe sometimes but I cant follow a recipe

they have the green apple award which helps keep salt and things to recommended levels

You can follow a recipe. All you have to do is break it into steps. It’s usually fear that stops peoe from trying, not being inept.

i’m just not good at it, i don’t find it enjoyable but i have to admit when i was helping in the kitchen and as part of a team i did like making short orders up, and chopping veg,

The thing that makes it enjoyable is learning to make something that tastes good. And being self sufficient. When you don’t have to rely on someone else to provide a good meal it really perks up self esteem.

i would love to make something and i have been trying to get the confidence up to make even simple meals and i have done it on occasion at home but i cant sustain it and end up buying ready meals or takeaways,

My clubhouse is good bc they make cheap meals every day and we can take home any left over meals, today i had a starter and small main for £2.50 chicken pakora with veg curry and nan bread was yum, but i don’t think i could make that myself, i am lucky if i can make a sandwich atm :frowning: i think its a confidence thing

Absolutely.

If you go in to a recipe expecting perfection and fearing a mistake, you’ll mess it up.

Expect to make mistakes.

For example, when i made this i overcooked the butter for sautéing the mushrooms, peppers, and onions i used. But it’s ok, because browned butter has a rich flavor. Then i added too much red pepper flakes to my diced chicken. But it was just a touch spicy, not unbearable.
