Do you think it’s worth it?
I think its very risky Magz i would only try something like that with the approval and supervision of a pdoc.
I agree, only with your pdoc.
I also want to warn you, sometimes when you lower dose, the med won’t work again if you try to go back up.
Happened to me with both Invega and Zyprexa.
Tread carefully. Med changes SUCK.
Why is this? I guess no-one knows… When I changed to abilify and went back to my old medication it didn’t work as well. It took some time but now I’m back to where I was.
I have no idea. I didn’t know about that until it happened to me twice
I’ve heard the same from others as well… scary stuff.
I think a lot of us play with those thoughts.
But in my experience lowering meds never worked out.
I recently increased my risperidone dose to 8mg from 6mg but I felt like ■■■■ extremely tired and no emotions. When I went back to 6mg I had rebound symptoms but now I think they’re gone. I am on 6mg. You need to be sure to know when you have symptoms to go back up if you lower your dose. My Dr told me stopping meds is like playing with fire and that 95℅ of schizophrenics need meds.
