I haven’t been to many concerts but the best I went to was a Courtney Barnett concert in the Bronx. My favorite artist of all time, Julien Baker, opened for her. Vagabon also opened and killed it. It was fantastic even though it rained.
The second concert I went to was also very good. It was another Julien Baker concert, Thao Nguyen played FANTASTICALLY at that show too.
I also went to an ASAP Ferg concert in my early 20s with my then boyfriend. Hated every part of it.
I cant remember all of the ones ive seen… some of them ive seen several times too. Moe., phish, widespread panic, against me, green day, buckethead, white reaper, acdc… theres more my brain is just farting. Ive also played some shows myself. Good times
I’ve been to a couple festivals— both rock/alternative and Electronic.
Saw deadmau5, which was an awesome show.
Saw a Chemical Bros. set at a festival, which was cool.
Would like to see deadmau5 again, along with Ben Böhmer, and some others.
As far as festivals go, I feel as though they mainly attract social media peeps and phone drones— those people that just record the entire thing on their phones and don’t savor the moment. Kinda makes me feel bleh about it these days.
I went and saw almost all the hair bands in the 80s.
I have seen Kiss the most. I have seen Van Halen and Motley Crue and David Lee Roth and Vince Neal solo many times. I also used to go see Zebra a good bit. They were always playing local clubs.
When I lived in El Paso during my last tour in the Marines there was a casino that had all kinda of free shows.
I saw Joan Jett, Buck Cherry, Cinderella, Eddie Money, and several others. They had this Metallica cover band that would open up for people from the northeast called One. They were really good. Look them up. They are on Facebook. My picture in the crowd is in some of their photos.
The biggest one I saw was Whitney Houston. Other than that it’s been smaller rock/metal bands like Dir En Grey, The Red Paintings and The Birthday Massacre.
