Tattoos are very normal these days.
But I see some tattoos a lot more than others.
Maybe being from the south and my friend pool being from there too impacts my opinion.
Also my age.
I’m 38.
The tattoos I see most frequently are Crosses (like the Jesus one), Bettie Page or pinup type woman, and, butterfly tramp stamp.
So,
What do you see the most in tattoos?
Tribal arm bands and coi fish. I also see lots of crosses and stars. The closer to the city I get the more ink coverage I see. Out here in the woods people may have some small ones. Usually they are veterans. But in the city like Atlanta you see full sleeves or whole legs done. The same goes for piercings, the closer to large population centers the larger and more numerous the piercings.

I have seen several young fathers who have their children’s names tattooed on their arms
“Don’t forget to buy milk” type of tattoos.
Words or sentences that you can’t make out from a distance on people’s hands or arms.
I don’t have any tattoos. No idea what’s common these days to be honest.

Im gonna tattoo my nose on my elbow. That way when someone taunts me saying “i betch ya cant touch your nose with your elbow” i will have the last laugh 
I went to school with a guy that had a tattoo of “Your Name” on his ass.

People take notice of it and are aghast by it
I know a woman who got a tattoo of a circular rainbow around her belly button with dancing unicorns on it.
Took several sessions and was in pastel.
About a week after she got it finished she found out she was pregnant.
I won’t say what it looked like after she had her baby, but I’m sure you can all imagine.
Oh wow that would be so unfortunate lol. I have a tattoo that goes a bit on my belly and it’s ten years old now so it’s been stretched and shrunk several times and it isn’t the prettiest lol
My brother in law has a tattoo of a women spreading her legs and his belly button is the vag. No lie next time I see him I’ll take a picture and post it here. Or I’ll get my sister to text me a picture.

I thought of getting one when i was younger. Thank God i didnt. i would have regretted it because it was a dumb idea looool actually i wanted two.
I’m 46. I’ve traveled a bunch. And being a musician I’ve spent time in different types of places. I’m a people watcher. Lots of people go to see a band so the band gets to see lots of people.
