Coming up on 3:30 am and I am wide awake

Anyone want to chat? I am considering just making some coffee and giving up on the notion of sleeping anymore, for a while at least.

This reminds me of when I worked at the hospital; I woke around 3:00 back then, so I could be out the door by 4, get to the parking lot in time for the 5:20 bus. That sucked. The shift I’d be working at this other hospital (only a 15 minute drive from me, thankfully, and no taking buses) in this other position (supply chain tech) is 3:30pm-midnight, much more my style.

I’m listening to my YouTube metal mix playlist, fell asleep on the couch with it playing. It’s currently on video number 69 of 87 videos, so at least another hour of music. This is what it’s playing right now, interesting video; Kittie is next.

Don’t make a coffee. If sleep doesn’t come, fair enough, but don’t drive it away yourself.

Did an afternoon shift for a couple of years. 3pm till 11pm. It paid good with shift allowances and it was great. Had a house with a friend with a day shift job and we’d only meet on weekends. We had a simple rule. If you cook you don’t clean so we always had a fridge full of food and ate like kings!

Never could get a handle on it though. Every second day I’d see daylight before I slept! Wake up around noon. Some people I worked with had two jobs. I was just a slacker smoking pot and having a good time…

Memories! Don’t make the coffee lol. Try and get some regularity to your life…Took me a while to find out some regularity isn’t bad!

Yeah, I have a feeling I’ll be up for a little while, but it’s no biggie. I’ll just nap later. I have the next two days off work, so if my sleep schedule gets thrown off a little this morning I can still get it back before I go back to work. It would be ideal to sleep at the same times every night, work or no work, but sometimes my body doesn’t cooperate.

Yeah it’s tough. I could never wind down straight after work which led to substance abuse…

I don’t work anymore but I’m regular as clockwork. I eat, sleep and play all on a schedule. It really helps me out and keeps me mentally well! I take my meds about the same time everyday regardless of the situation but I don’t work…that work isn’t easy and admire you getting out there!

I’m an adjunct (part-time) professor of biology at a community college.

My cat keeps getting in my lap. She’s such a sweetheart to me, and only to me. Lol she hisses at everyone else. She’s turned mean in her old age, but not to me.

My dog is just chillin on the couch. My dog is a sweetheart to everyone.

Now on video number 76, added a few Linkin Park videos to the playlist a few months ago, after Chester killed himself, poor guy.
