Anyone out there into comic books or graphic novels?
Recently I picked up the graphic novels Wytches and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. And I have Blackcross coming in the mail. Ohhhh I’m so excited.

I used to really be into Marvel comics. DC less so. I don’t read comics that much now but I did read VOl 1-3 of Suicide Squad and Batman: Year One Volumes 1 and 2

I sold my childhood comic book collection about 8 months ago. I had nothing valuable except the good memories of reading them. I had a bunch of comic books from the 1970’s and 1980’s. I took my one box of comics to a dealer and he gave me $40 or $50. They were almost not worth saving because I’ve had to cart them all over the place around with me through more than a dozen moves since I was 18. But I had some Superman comics, Batman , Flash, Green Lantern. Archie, lol.

Awww that’s a bummer you didn’t get much for them. I think the golden age comics are really anything that’s worth much anymore.

I used to be really into Marvel comics also when I was young. Now I’m more into Image, Dynamite, all the “off the beaten path” type stuff.

as for alan ford well it has specific humor that might not go well with american culture

I’ve read quite a bit of manga (Japanese comics) in my heyday.
Now I rarely read because of negative symptoms which make me get bored pretty easily, but I am fighting them with all my might.

I think it is but have never read it. I think I’ve seen a movie by that name. It had naked scenes with a woman that shot people with exploding bullets. Or maybe that is a different anime.

The movie Akira is pretty awesome. Can’t say I remember that scene though. But it’s been a while since I’ve seen it.
My favorite series was Runaways by Marvel. I was so pissed when the movie deal fell through! My next favorite is Xenezoic tales, originally printed under Kitchen Sink. It’s currently being reprinted by Darkhorse under the title Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. I have mostly originals, all signed by the illustrator who happens to be the uncle of one of my best friends! I got to meet him at a family reunion once and I acted like a total spaz. My friend found it hilarious. I’ll probably be seeing him again in a couple weeks at her wedding. I shall redeem myself.
