I was with my dad and mom lost in the doctors office.
Some nurse asked me if I needed help.
I was trying to tell her that we were looking for the waiting room but the words didn’t come out right.
I couldn’t remember the words.
I’m getting worried.

I sometimes forget what i’m saying right in the middle of saying it. Is this something new for you?
No I’ve done it before but what happened in the doctors office was alarming.
Maybe talk with your pdoc about it. I don’t know if the meds could cause that or what. Definitely something to bring up though.
I know you are worried @Wave. First, you were slurring your nows, and now you forgot them. Your doctor will be able to tell you if it is a side effect of medication or if you have early signs of dementia. I know it is scary. You can always go to your family doctor if you want to get in sooner.
I am still slurring my words - woke up, took my meds, felt real tired and am slurring my words.
It’s got to be the meds!
I may go make an earlier appointment with her.
Could it be a side effect from medication? I used to take Topomax and it did that to me.
Can you smile? Can you hold your arms out the same with your eyes closed? I had a stroke years ago where I was having similar problems.
It could be the combo of meds I take.
I’ve also been getting weakness in my arms.
I see her soon anyway, I’ll bring it up with her.
That’s good that you see her soon. I hope you’re ok and feeling better soon!
Yes please bring this up with your pdoc. Maybe you could call and ask? If you feel yourself getting worse, maybe go to the ER just in case it’s a stroke. Take care of yourself.
Thank you @LilyoftheValley and @Sardonic
