Hi, so i as you may or may not know i am trying to start a book share library and it is moving along very well, i have collected over twenty book recommendations from members and i typed them out today on a spreadsheet and did a couple of pie charts to make it look professional
So that is moving on but i have even bigger plans which i would like to outline in this post, as my mental health is ok just now (kind of)
Today at the Clubhouse which i attended for 2 hrs after i was at the Community Garden, we were moving things to make way for new windows to be fitted and i notice a lot of items that had been there for a while, i suggested they be donated if unsold, but my plans just seem to get bigger…
On top of the book share i thought of i thought why not just share everything that is left unsold and call that part a swap shop, which led me us into the discussion about the remaining good quality stock and how to sell it
So it was suggested that we could have a monthly charity car boot sale, i know they have a van that would be ideal and it would free up a lot of space for new stock and the funds could be used to benefit members even more,
Now i am hoping to get a paid ips position at my clubhouse and i am going to ask if this is possible, if it is i think i could work 12hrs (4hrs 3days a week at certain times) and i could run all of these things as well as help out with anything else.
The only problem i see is that it may not be possible for a member to advance to the position of staff but from what i have heard here we are supposed to all be on the same level (to a certain extent)
I am remaining hopeful for the future and i am hoping that bc of recent staff shortages that this may help my case,
I have also been a bit distracted by a recent staff member who resigned without notice quite suddenly having spoken to him only yesterday and i was a bit perturbed that i may have been the catalyst to that event.
