Anyone want to venture a guess to what these are? I wasnt sure what they were at first but they are big.
Took a break between “Fallout” episodes to vape outside and saw them.

THey are indeed. It was hard to tell at first. It looked like one giant bug at first. then figured out what they were. Eventually they flew away and you could tell then for sure.

looks to be polyphemus moths. part of the saturniidae family of moths, which are known for having some of the largest species of moth. i can’t tell too clearly from the picture, but if one has thinner antennae, and the other has bushier and more feathery ones, then they were indeed likely mating
