My cat has asthma. He needs an inhaler; once in the morning, once at night. The vet originally wrote up a prescription to our local drugstore, CVC. For a two month supply it cost $240.00! There’s no way I can afford $240.00 every two months. So I panicked and called the lady who raised him and sold him to me to tell her I had to give up Milo (my cat). I told her the story but then she told me that I can get the same medication from a company in Canada. I can get a FOUR month supply for $120.00. But I needed a prescription from my vet to mail to the company. I called my vet and he told me that he does not recommend to buy from places like that because I cannot verify the quality. But the women who sold him to me says she knows quite a few people who have bought my exact medication from them with no problems to their animals. AND the vet wrote me a prescription anyway. So I called the company in Canada up and I ended up getting the meds. This was 5 months ago. Milo was examined today and he’s fine. Not only that but I needed more meds and I called the Canadian company and they said if I buy the generic inhaler I could get a SIX month supply for $90.00. I received it in the mail last week. I took it into me vet, he looked at it, and told me it’s fine!

Great! I’m one for saving a buck on prescriptions. It is important to keep our pets healthy. Milo is a good name for a cat.

I still can’t imagine giving either of my cats an inhaler 2x a day. Its bad enough giving them their monthly flea ointment.
Glad you could take care of kitty, I’d be lost without mine, she’s my baby, and rubbing up against my feet now.
It is not a problem at all. The inhaler fits in a tube with a soft plastic mask. I put the mask over his face, give the inhaler one pump into the tube and scratch his head. He takes 10 breaths of the mist and purrs the whole time and sits still.
