Changing time of day to take medication, need help

I’m going to change the time I take my medication. I take it at 7 in the evening, I want to take it later because I want to stay awake for a bit longer.

I just was wondering if anyone have experience with changing time for medication and how I should go about it. Maybe if I want to start taking it 10 instead of 7, I start taking it 8 first for a couple days, then 9, then 10.

Or could I just do the jump right away, since it’s just a 3 hour difference? (7-10))

Since this is relatively small jump I figured I could ask here instead of talking with a doctor. It’s not like I will become psychotic by a 3 hour change.

I wake up sometimes at midnight and take my meds. Sometimes it’s at 8 am.

For me an 8 hour difference doesn’t change a lot.

But if you want to be sure you will have to ask pdoc or nurse.

I see. I’m talking with a psychiatrist later to discuss it. I just wanted input from the forum too.

Sometimes when I forget my meds and take them, say, 5 hours later, it messes up my sleep cycle.

I take my meds an hour before I used to take it. Feel better. I hope you find good routine.

My AP at night always
Otherwise for me, I don’t sleep

I take my SSRI and benzo in the morning

I’ve been all over the map with med schedules. I’ve been better about it lately. I think any way would work. If it was me I’d take the slower route if I could. Maybe and hour later each day idk

Hours of difference don’t matter too much when you already have steady state plasma levels from being on them for say a period of 2 weeks or more
