CBD hemp flower thread, part II

I’m just curious if anyone is smoking CBD hemp flower these days. I use it almost daily, and it works wonders. Currently smoking some Gas Station Gouda from Never Winter Botanicals

*this thread is not intended to discuss regular weed. CBD hemp flower is legal in all 50 states, and does not get you intoxicated or very high

What does it do for you?

Several things: really helps with my mood and anxiety – which is the most important thing. It also helps with slight aches and pains I might have. Helps with depressed thoughts, as it gives me an overall good sense of well-being. It gives me energy, which helps me throughout the days I’m not working. On top of all that, it does provide some euphoria, which is nice lol

I vape ordinary thc strains.

I want to try CBD only to see if it is relaxing. I reckon it helps massively with schizophrenia. Would block positives perhaps.

Plain CBD did nothing for me in any form it was like a sugar pill and THC makes paranoia worse.

I tried taking liquid cbd a couple of times, but both times it caused insomnia, which I guess is a paradoxal effect.

Too bad I can’t use it.

I’ve found that the flower is the best way to consume CBD – straight from the source. And it contains trace amounts of THC, so it doesn’t get you high/paranoid. It’s nice for THC-sensitive folks like myself lol

I tried smoking and using it as a tincture. Both calm and relaxed me. The one I was smoking was called a Indica strain all CBD. Indica is supposed to be more calming than the sativa strain of the marijuana plant.

I am wanting to quit smoking all things for my lung concerns. So I will have to rely on tinctures from now on if I can become successful to stop smoking.

wait, it is legal, it’s just prohibitively expensive. and probably not authorized for sz.

I’m not sure if it’s “authorized” for sz here in the States either, but the small amount of THC guarantees you won’t get high. Or too high, at least. My pdoc knows I smoke it and he’s fine with it

Bummer that it’s so expensive there. Here, it’s rather cheap and plentiful.

does it contain any THC?

yeah you’re lucky. regular cannabis can be obtained through a doctor here, so can cannibidiol, but only for certain conditions and the amount schizophrenics need for a dose makes it out of schizophrenics range

as well as it not being approved for our condition

Hemp flower has varying degrees of potency. You can get some that just has trace amounts of THC, all the way up to a more potent variety with THCa numbers around 25-30% (and yes, it’s legal to buy that here in all 50 states).

I usually go for a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio of CBD to THCa. This is called “type II”. Type III is just CBD dominant, and Type I is like regular weed.

That’s a bummer, man! Maybe soon they will legalize CBD hemp flower for the citizens to enjoy. I think it’s taboo because it looks and smells like regular weed, but it doesn’t have near the same effects. The effects are still nice, though haha

that sounds really good for you guys. i read a scientific article that said that a big dose of cbd resets a schizophrenic brain to have the same functioning as a ‘normal’ persons. except i’m not sure why they used the word reset because you had to keep taking the big dose for it to work.

I still take my normal medicine regimen as prescribed – I just smoke the hemp flower in conjunction with my meds. It’s like a PRN for me, basically. If I’m feeling really anxious or in a low mood, I’ll smoke. I’ve found it doesn’t really help with positive symptoms such as hallucinations or delusions. That’s just me, though, and everyone has a different endocannibinoid system so the flower ultimately affects each of us differently.

true, well that’s good that you found something that helps! i drink coffee if i feel really low and if i feel anxious, i’ll drink chamomile tea, which doesnt do much or i’ll meditate which does a little. i have tried other teas that are better though, like blue lotus tea and tulsi.

here’s the article:

@Bowens cut em off. Cannabis causes psychosis. There is no use for cannabis for people like us with schizophrenia
