The new starter being put in is going to be with labor and parts almost 700 dollars…my mom is not going to be happy today…makes me feel bad…thank goodness she can cover it though…don’t know what I’d do without mom.
There is a reason why I don’t have a car.
They are very expensive and I don’t like driving with voices.
Glad it is getting fixed, at least.
They can be so pricey
That’s why I keep my car as it has done well for a couple of years
Any used car is basically gambling your money
I need my vehicle to arrive on a customer premise to do work on a job site whether that takes 10-minutes or 45-minutes. Therefore my vehicle has to be up & running, ready to go when I need it. Fortunately my paycheque would cover the costs incurred on most wear & tear fixes of the vehicle.
I am not sure what your situation is in terms of having your car being ready to be driven. However, if a car is essential such as my case I would pay up the money to have the car fixed.
Yinyang do you live in China? What’s e vehicles like there?
Id agree with that. Gotta be careful people will always underdeliver and overprice. Plus scams. Id rather buy new if I had the money
I live in Western North America but I have been back to Southern China a few times. The last 20+ years have seen such drastic changes since China’s entry into the WTO. Only in the past 5-years have electric vehicles been mass produced to the point where BYD (比亚迪) has exceeded Tesla in EV car production. There are gasoline powered vehicles but those automobiles are being phased out for EVs. China has more vehicles on the road that the US because China’s population is almost 4x times the population of the US. Huawei sells a intelligent car called the Atto 5 as well as Xiaomi and soon to be Oppo. This is a strategy that Apple Corporation will soon take as Apple considers manufacturing their own EV car. Some Chinese branded vehicles are Geely, Chery, ChangAn and Great Wall. Very few American, Japanese, EUropean or Korean cars are driven in the streets. There are BMWs, Mercedes, Porches and Ferrari’s but in small quantities.
