So yesterday morning I had carpal tunnel surgery but that night before the surgery I didn’t sleep much due to nerves. About 6 hours after surgery I became in pain even though I’m taking my meds as prescribed and doing as the doctor said… I didn’t get much sleep tonight… 3 hours tops! The pain isn’t unbearable at least… I’d hate to think how it would feel without them! Hopefully I don’t regret this decision… Guess we’ll see

I understand your pain. 15 years ago I had horrendous pain in my back that lasted for one year so I understand it.
My thoughts goes out to you.

@anon68444330 @Jimbob @Sezbot241 @columbus thanks everyone… My mom had to help me situp after she got home at 10pm since I was laying on my back in bed and couldn’t put weight on my elbow without pain going to my hand/wrist I asked her to help and she did and helped me set up to sleep on the lazy boy and I didn’t sleep well I had the sense this morning to set two pillows up against the armrest and laid there against the pillows sitting up some so I can get up and I was able to sleep a little

Thanks @LilyoftheValley @crimby today hasn’t been to bad I guess… Just itching and some pain. I’m tired, my husband and I were watching the online premiere of the new mst3k and I fell asleep for a while… I’m sleeping on the couch to start with tonight so I can get up on my own… I miss sleeping by David though… I’m tired and I know he is too… It’s been what feels like a long past two days… I finally get to take the bandage off tomorrow and take a shower… Good night y’all

If you remain in pain you might talk to your pdoc about a different kind of painkiller.

I relate! I have chronic pain. It sucks to be in pain all the time.
Since yours is a surgery-related pain, I’m sure it will be resolved in time. Don’t forget to take your pain med and see if you can use a coping strategy, like music.
I know that being in pain sucks, so I hear ya!
