I saw on insta some prisons like in Norway and Switzerland are like vacations and resorts, they have pools, gyms, library, horses, basketball and soccer courts, good food etc all free sounds cool lol

I wouldn’t call prison in Norway vacation, but there is a belief here that treating people dignified and humane gives much greater sucsess for bringing people back to society.

I just checked. Phones and internet is not allowed. Internet only allowed for educational purposes. They might have tv in the cell though, but only channels that are approved by the prison I would think.

It definitely varies a lot by which country you go to prison in. Some US prisons sound terrible. North korean prison systems are horrific too. Ive never been arrested or locked up or anything. But some of those northern european ones seem pretty decent like you say.

I thought I was left winged but i do not agree with doting and rewarding on serious criminals.
Rehabilitation is possible and work and study and nice food and so but not horses and pools etc
That’s luxury most people who are not criminals can’t access.
A man who violently raped a ten year old boy is now perhaps able to become rich by suing government for ridiculous reasons.
He should be physically surgically castrated and never be able to get sexually aroused ever again.
He should not be welcome to live so well.
He should never be free but forever monitored or imprisoned.
Man who molested me is still sexually actively and living in luxury.
Most pedofiles live in luxury while their victims are poor anc mentality f u c k ed.
Very few are convicted and when they are they are not punished enough for it.
They should be made a sexual.
They should be made to give victims money.
