The crystal I inherited was a bit fragile. I have only two pieces left, and certainly I use it, and I’m glad I use it!
You should make those instead
I don’t keep much. My mother had a legit hoarding problem, and growing up in that house made me an extreme minimalist. I’m getting a little better about keeping things, and my partner likes to keep a lot of things, but we don’t have much that isn’t used regularly.
After traveling abroad with only a suitcase I came back a total minimalist. I used to collect a lot of things. These days I don’t. About the only thing I buy and keep these days is books and I’d sell them or give them away if given the opportunity.
I love getting rid of things. My husband has a hard time letting go of even things that are obviously useless and that frustrates me.
The best is having a garage sale and making a few bucks.
I have no problem throwing things out. I love to travel light. When I buy new clothes or books I like to give some old ones away to charity shop.
It’s funny - I buy from charity shop then I give back to them what I bought there when I don’t wear it anymore.
I usually give clothing away when I haven’t worn it for a few months or if I don’t like it anymore.
With books I keep them longer but when my bookcase can’t hold anymore then I clear it out. Got a box of books to give away now.
I did a big move last year, moved from a 3 x bedroom house to a 2 x bedroom unit. There was a lot of stuff that we had to throw out. Believe me…it was LOTS of stuff. Now having gone through all that, it is a massive weight off your shoulders. All of a sudden you have less stuff to clean, maintain or clutter up your living space. I’m not a hoarder by any stretch of the imagination. I’m able to let go of things fairly easily.
I dont have enough room for a ton of stuff so I have to give it away or throw it away.
I tend to hold on to things I’m very sentimental
No, I throw out what I don’t need, or give them to charities.
I part with way too much. Keep very little
