Can the voices you hear affect your body language?

Do you just hear voices, or can they cause you to make facial expressions and nod or shake your head? Can they make you move your arms, or stretch your muscles?

I used to think my blood was talking to me !!

I think so, yes. We react even if we don’t want to. It’s natural.

What I mean is, if a auditory hallucination voice smiles, nods or shakes their head, it moves my body. It’s not my reaction, it’s my body moving in response to their emotions and thoughts.

I believe the beings/voices do that to me day and night, yes.

Mine don’t control me, puppet master style, thankfully.

But they do effect how I present. When the voices are bad I’m usually very fidgety, chewing my nails, taping my feet, doing whatever I can to distract myself.

It can be noticeable

Yup, I carry on imaginary conversations…I talk out loud, make facial expressions and gesticulate with my hands. I’m careful not to do this in public so as to protect my reputation.

Sometimes the voices seem to literally control my body. They would say something like “We’re now going to flap your arms like wings, and jump up and down” and that indeed happens. There is nothing I can do.
I don’t think that the voices directly control my body though. I assume there’s a process running behind all that, and that process is controlling both the voices and my body. It would explain the strange behaviour of my body, that sometimes happens even if voices do not tell in advance what’s going to happen.

Yes, when I hear voices, especially the evil man in my head Alien, I tend to shake my head and grimace, and sometimes put my hands to my head
