I was in AA for 530 days I had even given up drinking… but after that long I realized I wasn’t there cause I had a drinking problem I was there cause I was lonely and didn’t have friends
I find findin friends is hard, it is a good way to make friends so i wouldnt hold it over ur head… I went to NA for the same reason, wed go to Deneys after the meetings but when i stoped goin to meetings, the people i hung out with didnt want to hang out anymore, i wasnt “part of the program” cause i never got a sponser and didnt do steps…
I had a similar problem, the friends I made in AA said they would be my friend no matter what but once I left the program they said the couldn’t be my friend because I wasn’t one of them and working the program. It really hurt and I felt brainwashed. It took a while for me to get over it.
Thats probly why they say its a cult, but whatever i guess… So how u feelin? Better i hope…
It is a cult but yeah whatever… yeah i’m Starting g to feel better thanks for distracting me!
