Can people hear me? Thought broadcasting?

Can people hear you talk with your mouth fully closed? What about eating and thinking of something while mouth is closed?

I have horrible paranoia that people can hear me think about things to the point I close my mouth constantly to avoid people near me talking under my breath.

Is this thought broadcasting?

Welcome back!

Nobody can hear your thoughts.

Are you on any meds?

100%? Even if I’m breathing loud, for example walking up stairs.

Yes I’m on 150mg Paliperidone for schizoaffective and Fluoxetine for depression and suspected OCD.

What about when chewing? Can people hear me then? I try recording myself but I can’t hear anything. But people’s reactions say differently.

Nope, nobody can hear your thoughts through breathing or chewing. It’s impossible.

You need to either increase your meds or change meds.

Have you told your doc about your delusions?

I told him and he increased my paliperidone but it didn’t help. Also put me on fluoxetine for obsessive thoughts.

How can I prove to myself no one can hear me?

You need to change meds. Can you contact your doc and tell him that the meds aren’t working?

Yes, I actually have a review tomorrow or Friday with a Psychiatric Nurse. I will mention then. I am only out of hospital and they only increased my meds but it didn’t help at all and they still discharged me.

You need to get back to it and tell them that your meds are not working.

I will ask them. Thanks for the help.

Sorry about that. Most of the time when we are so self conscious people are more concerned about themselves and what they are thinking.
