Can anyone identify with this?

Clothes: I change my socks and underpants every day and my t shirt and trousers every 3 days. Today I noticed my trousers were marked after 2 days so put them in the washing bin. My t shirt wasn’t messy but because I didn’t want to get out of sync with changing my tshirt and trousers I put that in the washing bin as well. The idea of getting out of sync with my clothes makes me feel uncomfortable.

Some OCD I guess? I have issues like that too

That’s pretty common for folks with ASD. I don’t personally do this, but I had a few students who did.

I’m the same way. I change my underwear and socks everyday but I change my clothes once a week when I shower.

I would try to reset the cycle. Just put completely fresh clothes on tomorrow and reset to day 1.

You scored 1 / 20 on part A
and 0 / 20 on part B.

Based on your score on the screening device, it would appear that you probably do not have OCD. However, only a mental health professional can make an accurate diagnosis and if you are experiencing psychological distress it might be advisable to see a clinician for further evaluation. You might also want to keep in mind that most so-called ‘normal’ people have some obsessive thoughts and some ritualistic behaviour in their lives. It’s only when their obsessions and compulsions start becoming an overwhelming primary focus in a person’s life that a person has clinical OCD.

does anyone else smell their clothes as well?

I wash everything and won’t wear it if it isn’t washed unless I am at a really low point. I am scared that people will notice. I don’t want my husband to think poorly of me or my kids to be embarrassed by me.

I scored an 11/20 on the OCD screening test.

I scored 0 on both sections A and B. I have the opposite problem to an OCD person. I don’t care enough about most anything.

They say you can’t smell ur own smell…

i have to change clothes every day or it causes a sort of panic and feelings of disgust and if i get thrown out of my hygiene routines i get really anxious and uncomfortable, ive been diagnosed with both ocd and asd
