well, part of it is the hand to mouth thing, and then try quitting, and it becomes food. idk.
Really? Smoking cessation is an off label use here.
Addictions are reversible even for opium. But it is up to you to win the withdraw symptons. You keep winning, dosis keep dropping, and so on. It is doable if you want to. It doesn’t mean you will be happier thou. So, if I were addicted to nicotine I would buy tons of patches because nicotine is not dangerous, just addictive. Dangerous is the chemicals used to stabilize nicotine in a way it can be smoked.
Exactly……

I’ve quit many times, but only thru turning back to exercise.
it’s lookin’ not likely again at age 52.
besides, who are you to say. I wanna smoke, okay?
I didn’t know that ADs can increased psychosis, I was started on citalopram last year and it helped but last year I had to have increase in AP’s and now I cannot cope without two of them. I tried lowering my amisulpride last week by only a little (400 to 300mg) and it made me feel off a bit and I got scared so I went on proper dose again and fel better. Before I used to cope on 200mg but now 400mg is the minimum. Plus haloperidol 5mg. And worse is the AD doesn’t seem to work so well either.
The ONLY antidepressant my doctor suggested I try was Wellbutrin.
It seems to be an acceptable option for those of us suffering with bipolar tendencies.
I refused though.
Same. Scared the ■■■■ out of me.
ive been on zoloft like 1 and a half years and have no psychosis symptoms
Antidepressants can be an issue really for people suffering with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type or bipolar disorder.
I only have sz and wellbutrin made me feel like i was high on amphetamines or something. Maybe it has somwthing to do with its better for bipolar? Taking cymbalta now and its really helping

Hello egofree.
No, the opposite. It starts manifesting when synaptic serotonin concentrations rise above a certain (healthy) level. The symptoms get worse with increasing levels, and the 5-HT2A receptor subtype is the one responsible for death, through hyperthermia. Antagonists of that receptor are therefore useful as treatments, which means many antipsychotics likely have a protective effect, although last time (many years ago) I looked into it, only chlorpromazine (Thorazine, Largactil) was actively recommended, failing the availability of the first generation antihistamine cyproheptadine (Periactin).
That is usually the 5-HT1A receptor. Others are more often antagonised, especially 5-HT2A but sometimes others, as in the case of lurasidone and vortioxetine, which both block 5-HT7 and the latter also blocks 5-HT3A.
-Albert.
thanks. much appreciated
Paxil was the worst anxiety/depression med I have ever came off of. I could literally feel electric impulses Everytime I looked around a room and it would go throughout my while body for like 4 weeks, it was horrible.
