But John. I'm only dancing thread

So.

Been busy and not getting through as much and finding it too bothersome to get back through all the posts…so…

What you been up too? What is different if anything in your life? I’m curious because I still have a soft spot for the community and over the years have grown to like ya’ll a lot!

So. For me. Been doing good with exercise. Sorted out some negative bloodwork and doing good with the health but working on keeping the intestinal stuff going at over 50. Have a meeting with the political party I’m a member of this weekend and might have a work day with them this weekend too so getting out there…where there is…that is the interesting thing!

So peeps. What’s up with all you amazing and lovely people?

I’ve been busy becoming a more cynical old man. Soon I will be shooting children with a bb gun who trespass on my lawn if the trend continues.

I used to be the epitome of optimism. But everything looks like garbage lately.

Yeah hearing that. I’m far more crotchety and so much over most peoples bs too. Still. Hang in there my man. Your a good egg so look at improving yourself through regular activities and common good behavior…haha.

You still kicking away on guitar? I’ve dropped off a lot but my new goals are finally learning the fretboard and some nice licks from learning some scales…it’s so hard learning anything over 50 for sure!

Not really. I pretty much quit after I had my incident last year that had me cognitively struggling for awhile. I still practiced the one song I had fully memorized for quite awhile, but lately, even that has been being pushed to the wayside.

When I had that incident, I did not believe I was going to have the cognitive abilities to learn new stuff , so I pretty much gave up on it.

I actually went into to psychosis around that time so I didnt even think I was going to live much longer with all the weird physical and mental symptoms I had going on.

For example, I lost like 10 or 15 pounds in a couple week period without changing my diet. Then it reversed and I gained it all back plus some over several weeks.

Still dont know what that was all about.

Anyway, without getting more long winded than I already have, that incident, the following psychosis, and the real physical symptoms broke me of guitar for the most part.

Yeah that is a worry. Kinda saw a little bit of that but didn’t realise how much was going on at the time. It’s scary. I just had some bloodwork done and it was nuts. Really didn’t know what was going on but It really scared me…Out of the woods now but can relate.

Hang in there matey. And. If you’ve some time pick up that guitar again if your able. It’s still good to have some goals moving forwards…and I’m finding fill in some time positively!

I am going to play my computer racing game. My sister got in a car accident and is sore and tired from pain meds, car got pretty banged up and was a pretty expensive Lexus. Life is pretty well I stopped vaping but use nicotine lozenges daily. My dad is keeping me busy every day all day. My mom is sleeping like 20hrs a day. I am still staying pretty stable.

Good to be busy and hope your sister recovers well. Good to get off that nicotine if you can do it. One of the best things I ever did health wise in my life after 25 years of smoking.

Glad your stable. Keep looking for that improvement and hope that other stuff improves too!

I got accepted to chiropractic school in January. I found an apartment for the first 3 months in Madrid last week. I’m still working towards certification in the spinal Flow technique.

When I came back from Barcelona end of February I moved back in with my mom.

Yeah great work! Hope it goes well for you and moving back in with mum isn’t bad. I’m 53 and living with dad still. I live a pretty good life!

Slowing down a lot so keeping him going is my priority.

We get out to things and I’m like a caregiver in that I cook and stuff. He still does some housecleaning and I let him do it because encouraging him to be mobile and exercise some. Otherwise it’s a good thing for me…

I give half my pension to cover bills and recently upgraded that because it’s nuts with inflation in common goods over here. Everything costs so much more but still have enough to have some hobbies and stuff.

I still feel obligated to help the old boy out and will continue to do so. He helped me out on an overseas trip years ago so I don’t mind and feel it’s the right thing to do.

I have my treatment plan meeting on Wednesday and I’m going to try to meet with someone from ARMHS sometime to see if I can switch over to them at some point.
