Doesn’t that kind of defeat the purpose of have a non-meat/vegetarian burger?

I read some country wants to put a law into effect that would disallow non-meat products from being called burgers at restaurants.

That’s like McDonald’s french fries. You’d think french fries are vegetarian but in the US McDonald’s coats their french fries in beef tallow to give them that extra crunch when they’re fried in vegetable oil. They are NOT made that way in India, however, due to the sacred role of cows in Hinduism.
