He ran away. His main reason for running is to meet friends and use drugs.
We don’t know what to do.
If he signed papers they won’t accept him to hospital for a second time.
He can die every minute… We’re going crazy again.
What a drug addiction can do. He doesn’t give a sh** about his health. About his own life.

Yeah from personal experience. You have to want to stop doing drugs on your own… peer pressur, personal choice, having fun, are reasons they want to continue, a health scare could also deter a person from doing drugs…
at the end of the day you can tell him what’s right and wrong, but it’s up to him to want to stop. There’s a stigma to drug use in society maybe that could deter him, how old is he @anon8411913 if you don’t mind me asking?

He is eleven years older than me.
He soon will be 35.
We’re literally going crazy. There’s possibility he will be paralyzed or die anytime.

We took him to hospital, paid tons of money for his health and he still doesn’t give a sh**.
We were visiting him everyday and thought he’ll be alright… Gosh what a situation

I guess he still feels like, he’s invincible and nothing can stop him… for me my circumstances were different, looking back I would of stopped if I know it will lead me to my first psychotic break.
If you’re close to him, you would just need to come to terms he could stop on his own… how long has he been using, @anon8411913 ?

I believe from age 14-15. He is using every known drug except heroin.
I doubt he’ll ever stop using drugs.
Even at this situation, when he can die, he still is choosing drugs @Dudenotperfect
Yeah @anon8411913 addiction is a mh problem… you might need to get him help for that, but he would need to be accepting of help. That’s a long time, I feel he’s become used to it and that it is part of his lifestyle… he doesn’t know life to be any different. I stopped right after my first psychotic break as yeah I didn’t want to get worse.
It’ll be complicated but maybe an intervention would help!

He doesn’t want any help… We talked with him about his addiction for thousands times.
Welp, life is crazy at the moment. I cannot understand why he is doing certain things.

Not really. Thats why I have not posted in this thread. It’s very early in the morning and have not had much sleep, though.
I don’t know the laws in her country, but here it can be difficult to get people help if they dont want it. You generally have the right to refuse treatment here.
Unless you happen to be psychotic person with schizophrenia, in which case I know for a fact , help can be forced on you.

I am praying that somehow he will stay alive and not paralyzed. That’s all I want at the moment.

I met a guy @anon8411913 who has been using drugs for over 20 years… he was already addicted but was working and managing relationships, not convicted but he was functioning. Not sure if your brother has a health condition but he may think nothing can stop him!
Edit: maybe it works for him, if he is working, has a family, relationships etc that’s much more than I can fathom

My brother is an alcoholic. Brining it up means he calls me mental piece of ■■■■. I have given up caring. I have to focus on my own health.

My brother was a main cause of my psychosis… He was giving me weed and amphetamine/methamphetamine. Still, I just want him to be alive.
At the moment I am very angry that he doesn’t care about his own life. @Milly

I know this might be far fetched but I thought when I was on drugs that I would want my children to try this because it is so good. I felt alive, but now I know it was just an experience and that law trumps feelings. I’m sorry that happened to you but up to you, I hope there is an end to this without much issues

So he asked doctors to let him go with agreement.
