Brits who try and talk like Americans

They have probably never even been to america. And in my opinion it looks and sounds so stupid.

Most of the founding fathers were British. Food for thought.

Equally when you look at Americans talking with British accents , most the time they are way off we don’t all sound like the queen lol

From knowing my step grandchildren I know that for young girls acting like you’re a pop star and singing with an American accent is not unusual. :slightly_smiling_face:

I used to be into that crap because I thought it was funny. Sure I did it around friends but I’m sure I sounded dumber than a rock to a Brit.

Americans trying to sound like Brits is also pretty lame.

I always assumed the American accent was popularized through Hollywood movies.

i disagree. some sound quite accurate.

What is worse is people from overseas who try to do an Aussie accent. The horror.

What fascinates me is the American and Australian accents being so different . Yet the primary ancestry for both stems from the British Isles .
