Talk to a lawyer specializing in disability and health protections. I explained my interest in having the social insurance cover the cost of the imported medication.
He told me that this is only possible if there is a solid justification from my psychiatrist demonstrating the superiority of KarXT over other antipsychotics. This is only in Argentina, I don’t know what the situation is like in other countries. I will try at the end of this year if the medicine is approved to bring it imported and at no cost.
I can’t live this way anymore.

I agree, it’s tough being disabled.

Well if you are paying out of your pocket instead of insurance, you jump through less hoops…in my country I have to email my minister and he should be able to help me import the medicine

But in the case of most insurance, you would need a couple of years for your local government to approve the medicine before they can legally import it into your country and approved it under your insurance

I inquired out of curiosity. My work benefits will cover it if it becomes available. Not really that hung up on it. I will wait and see how it works for others before trying it myself.
