Cytokine-related inflammation in the brains of highly depressed and/or anxious non-psychotic, as well as psychotic (including sz) patients has been a topic of investigation for at least decade. Anecdotal reports suggest some sz pts benefit from taking NSAIDs and even AI herbs like turmeric because they reduce inflammation.
