IDK. I know that I am not as sharp as I used to be. More than likely due to cognitive hit in early stages of Sz though. Possibly due meds as well. I would think decline would vary from person to person. My dad is 68 and is at least as sharp as I am.
Edit: Study seems like a generalization and not that applicable for individual to individual.
i find this disheartening because I turn 60 in april. actually a slowdown would be welcome to me…I think wayyyy too much…haha

There are windows of opportunity that never return, folks. First language is the single most important one - training must begin before age 2 I think.
I’m not believing that dreck. I’m 57 and my mind is in hyperdrive most most of the time. However I do exercise and challenge it all the time with lots of reading, interesting people and conversations, etc., no TV, blah blah. It keeps my brain agile.
